I hear their feet thunder down the stairs as they chase each other around. The laughter bounces off the walls of this freshly painted home. These three hearts of mine that live with me. When they say that a mother's heart walks around outside of her it is absolutely the truth. I cherish these moments. These moments I have to laugh along, listen to story lines, watch videos made by my hilarious boys. I cherish the times when I get to brush her long caramel colored hair and listen to her talk about her favorite character in the book she's reading. I cherish the moments when they spill their hearts out to me and allow me to help them or wipe away a tear or two. When they call me "Mama, Mommy, Mom"...I know I am cherished in a way I never have been before.

Oh, yes, the incredible and incredibly LOUD sound of my teenage son running through the house, up and down the stairs. My blessing! You are so right, we moms carry our hearts on our sleeves and according to my 75-year old mom, it never ends.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing! This is my first Five Minute Friday and I'm really enjoying it.
